Mama’s Mac&Cheese Plus an LA Story from my Vault, I think u Will enjoy Both!

I just got back from 4 Days in Los Angles, I LOVE LA!
4 places I want you to remember and when you are n SO-CAL, (as the NO-CAL’ers, People that live in Northern California OR SO-Cal for southern part of the golden state) do you taste buds, tummy, and you since of adventure a huge favor and visit all 4 at least once! Happy Family 111 N. Atlantic Blvd. Monterey Park, Ca 91754 Vegetarian heaven! Café Luxxe 925 Montana Ave. Santa Monica Ca, 90203 Wonderful coffees, teas, sweet stuff and the People, they share great vibes! O it’s also a great place to star gaze not up in the sky, but the table or seat next to you! G… 1429 Abbot Kinney Blvd Venice Ca, 90291 the place is so hip they don’t have a sign on the building! We had a super thin pizza with Gruyere, Caramelized onion, Fromage Blanc & Arugula . Charred Brussels sprouts with bacon and dates, WOW! 2 salads that all I can say is they were so good if you are a food lover, its worth a drive down or the 2 hour wait (if you don’t have a reservation) to taste! I truly mean that.

The forth place is Susan Feigner’s STREET, 742 No Highland, LA Ca 90038. You may remember Susan and half of the Two Hot Tamales, form the early days of Food Network
they (her business partner Mary Sue Milliken) like yours truly helped to build the Food Network, today this dynamic duo has restaurants in and around the city of Angles, Los Vegas and soon maybe and airport near you! However, STREET is all Susan the dishes are street foods from around the world, in some cases her interoperation. I need to tell you all Susan and Mary Sue are very dear to me personally as well as professionally some day I should do a book sharing the lessons I learned from the sweet folks that have crossed my path during my walk-through life, they are great friends, fantastic chefs Just wonderful Human Being. I tell you this because as friends if they were not doing a good job I would say so, as I know they would set me straight! When it comes to the Two Hot Tamales together or as an independent their food ROCKS!
STREET, is a MUST, it’s fun to just sit in the joint, its fun to read the walls, listen to the music, inter act with the staff, for the bartender to the bus-persons, ask questions, look at the food as they pass your table! Plan a weekend trip or may I suggest and mid-week trip, your airfare will be less, it will be easer to get reservations not only at STREET but some of the other great places in LA. As always I am running long, next time I‘ll tell you about the best piece of toast I ever tasted! @ STREET! If you have question or comments visit me a Curtisaikens.net nowPeace11
