Seattle

My 15 hours in Seattle, were just the Bomb! I stayed at hotel on Alaskan Way out the front door I took a right, and walked along the water what a view. When I learn how, I’ll post to the pictures on the site! LOL. Alaskan Way turns into Broad St.  I walked Broad which is a little up hill, but you should walk, to see, feel, and taste the flavor of this beautiful city. Broad took me all the way to the Space Needle,  Yes I admit I am the ultimate tourist. O the art along the way. Before taking the elevator ride to the top of Sea-town, I walked the gardens and circled the tower at least three times, I can not tell you had hard it way keeping my tale out of the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition before going up. It was getting near sunset, that the thought the got me to the elevator! That view! Seems like every city would erect some kind of tower?  Met some nice folks, had a cup of Starbucks, and just chilled. I just loved it.

After my 2 hours above Seattle, I made a b-line for the Chihuly Glass, I do recommend visiting the needle for sunset in addition to the breath taking view of the end of the day, on the ride down, the Chihuly Glass garden wow you see it from on high, that alone is worth at trip the Seattle.

I had dinner at a little spot, Tilikum Place Café, 407 Cedar St, it was like a three block walk for the Space Needle, Chef owner Ba Culbert, her place is very inviting, charming, and quit comfortable , the place looks and feels good! I was dining alone , but it did not feel that way, the staff and their service one word NICE! ok 2 words VERY NICE!

I talked with locals, and regulars one from my home state of Georgia, Michael raved about Chef Ba and her restaurant he told me business bring him to Seattle on average twice a month, “I always make it by here for a meal”

I sat at the bar so I could watch the magic of a well run kitchen up close, I drank water… and Red Wine a Peon which went well with the Pork Pate, it was worth the calories big time, I also enjoyed one of the specials the steamed clams in white wine and roasted garlic the BOMB! If you came here for facebook you saw one of the other dishes I enjoyed! Well I looked at it! I just cannot eat the volume of food I once did. For Desert I got the cookie tray to GO! I know I would burn some of them off on the walk back to the hotel.

I was up early the next morning to walk to Pike Place Market I will post the pictures, I love the fresh food at Pike Place, produce, fish and the Fresh People!

I stopped at a French Bakery La Panier, nice croissant, also paid a visit to The Lucky Diner, 2630 1st Ave in an area of the city known as Belltown, I’ll find out why on my next trip to Seattle. If you are looking for comfort foods go to Lucky, chicken, biscuits and gravy, on weekend its open ALLNIGHT!

Seattle thank you for a wonderful time! Peace and Spread Love
