Where Do You Find Inspiration?

What inspired you today? Tell me here or on FaceBook @ Curtis G Aikens Sr.

I love poetry. mine (Thank you Margaret Golden for Courage Retreats, and Madalinne for making them possible for me) Poetry I love his, hers, mine and yours. If you feel like sharing, send them to Chef@curtisikens.net the following 3 are from me. One I thought was inspired by a former person I cared for. Now I realize many of the poems I wrote are to me.

Ask for help

You can ask me for help anytime if I can, I’ll be more then happy to! Word!

Nothing I have is mine, including what little knowledge I may have. It’s just with me the short time I’m here!

Well first: I Think it! In other words, come up with your idea what I want to do, me I pray about my ideas and try very hard to LET Go and Let GOD!

Then I say it out loud! On my walks in the mirror each morning, when I have alone time, I say, “Curtis today you will be a better man this day than yesterday, you can and will”. It works!

Next, I write it down! The Idea is real now, something I can touch; I make copies, fold one up and put it in my pocket. I can take it out, see and feel my idea.

I put one someplace in my home I can see it on a regular.

I may send a copy to Mama or someone I trust-love; he or she will ask me how it is coming!

Next…. As Kool-Mo-D said, “I Go 2 Work!” Nike- “Just Do it”, Larry the Cable Guy “Getter-er Done”

4 Reals

Those of you that have been to any of my workshops or heard me speak over the past 3 decades know I have been sharing my 4 steps since I learned to READ. If I can do anyone can!

Feeling for inspiration

Feeling for inspiration

I try not and look for inspiration

I try not and ask for inspiration

I try not and listen for inspiration

I try not and speak for inspiration

I try and feel for inspiration

How the sweet morning air feels caressing my face tickling the fuzz in my nose as it travels to inflate my lungs, Supplying the oxygen that sustains this life.

That seeming simple process which takes place without thought, however without I could not…

Feeling that is inspiring!

Feeling that is inspiration.

For HER,(him-Me,SelfLOVE) the Friend

I remember her in the Blue,

I can see her in that Green.

The beautiful Lavender she wore,

Just made the scene.

Her mind is sharp,

Her smile so bright

Her heart is warm

Filled with Grace,

Love

and

His Light!

For you my friend, I hope to know you, share with you, cook for and with you. Learn from and with you. Be with……

you have made an impression
